The Rosamond Gifford Zoo has been hosting wedding and baby showers, birthday, anniversary and graduation parties since 2004. We provide the ideal setting for groups from 50 to 3000 on our lush, 43 acre property conveniently located in Syracuse’s historic Tipperary Hill neighborhood. You can make your party extra special by booking one of our charming animal ambassadors to greet your guests.

Frequently Asked Questions

Parking is free and abundant at our facility. Frequently, events start before the zoo opens, ensuring available parking spots. In winter, lots are plowed and walkways are cleared prior to guest arrival.

The banquet room is located to the right of the lobby as you enter the zoo. The registration table is placed just outside the banquet room, clearly showing guests where to check in.

Organizers are welcome to arrive one hour prior to their event start time. If you believe you require more time to set up, please discuss this with the event manager during the planning stage.

The room can be set up with round tables of 6-8 people, theatre style or classroom style depending on your group size and event needs. White or ivory linen is included in the room rental fee, as is table setup.

You are more than welcome to set up an appointment prior to your event to test the audiovisual equipment and ask any questions you may have. On the day of your event, the event manager will be on hand to ensure everything works properly, test volumes and answer any questions that may come up!

Zoo admission tickets are offered at a discounted price of $3 per person for catering client guests. This can be added to your overall invoice.
