On June 3, 2017 we hosted the absolutely stunning wedding of Bethany Humphrey and Brendan Mizgala here at the zoo.
Bethany and Brendan arrived early on their big day and did their first look on the scenic pathways in front of the facility.
Their photographer was the talented Hannah Hawkins, who we absolutely LOVE working with. Hannah usually does at least a couple weddings each season with us, but she still makes a point of doing a site visit for each one. The zoo boasts so many lovely spots to take pictures, so it really helps to have a game plan before the wedding party arrives.
Wedding planning can be stressful and having a private and quiet moment with your partner before the ceremony helps take some of the anxiety out of the day.
After they did their first look, the entire wedding party headed into the zoo to take some fun group shots. The first stop was our penguin exhibit. One of Bethany’s bridesmaids LOVES penguins – she even has a penguin tattoo!
We had a cold and rainy spring, so everyone was thrilled to have a sunny, picture-perfect day for Brandon and Bethany’s big day.
Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in the courtyard and visited with the animals in the indoor zoo before heading into the banquet room for dinner.
The banquet room looked beautiful with hydrangea floral arrangements designed by The Floral Gardens.
The wedding cake was a nod to the their shared love of the Harry Potter series.
Hannah captured some gorgeous shots of the happy couple on our patio after the sun went down.
We were so honored to help this happy couple celebrate with all their family and friends and we wish Bethany and Brendan a lifetime of love and happiness!
