On August 19, 2017 Catering at the Zoo hosted the incredibly fun wedding celebration of Jackie McClenthan and Ted Elioff. Jackie and Ted got married in our Courtyard surrounded by friends and family, then enjoyed cocktails in our indoor zoo before heading into the banquet room for dinner and dancing.
Our Courtyard is lush and colorful in August, and photographer Bob Bills captured some really stunning shots of the newlyweds in our front of our gardens.
The guests were “WOWED” by how beautiful the room looked when they entered our banquet room for dinner. Jackie and her sister Karen did such a fabulous job with the decor – peach and coral flowers in sparkly gold vases with assorted gold zoo animals on each table.
With the addition of some strategic up-lighting, the room looked positively magical!
Jackie and Ted are crazy about animals, so instead of favors they made a donation to Helping Hounds Dog Rescue. We LOVE this idea! The “Happily Ever After” envelopes at each place setting contain a Helping Hounds magnet.
Their reception featured a custom donut bar from Just Donuts, which was a HUGE hit with the guests.
The popcorn bar from The Kandied Kernel was a popular spot too. Peanut butter cup popcorn?!? YES!
Radio personality Joe Nasty was the DJ and he did an amazing job keeping everyone on the dance floor right until the end of the reception.
It’s safe to say that a good time was had by all. We wish Jackie and Ted a lifetime of love and happiness as they begin their life together.
Many thanks to photographer Bob Bills (www.CNYSmile.com) for sharing the Elioff’s special moments at the zoo.
